Preliminary Test (Examination)
All those candidates who apply for UP Police constable
vacancy, are called for UP Police Preliminary Exam first. All candidates who met
the eligibility criteria are required to sit in the Preliminary Test which is
of 300 marks. The written examination is consisting of objective type
questions.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Physical Efficiency Test for UP Police constable post is
held for only those candidates who qualify in Preliminary examination. The Physical
Efficiency Test (PET) is of 100 marks. Where male candidates need to run 4.8 KM
race in 30 minutes and Female candidates need to run 2.4 KM race in 18 Minutes.

Main Written Test (Examination)
A UP Police main exam is held for all short-listed
candidates from Police constable Preliminary and Physical test. All those
candidates who qualify Preliminary Test (PT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
successfully are required to appear in the Main Written examination.

Medical Test
Candidates qualified in above tests, they are called for medical
examination. Since medical test is not a major process in UP Police constable
selection, but it is compulsory for every qualified candidates. In this medical
test they focus on candidates’ physical fitness.
Final Selection
Once every phase is done i.e. Written
examination (both Preliminary and Main), Physical test and Medical test, A
merit list is prepared for all the candidates who has been finally qualified
for UP Police constable post. Candidates are appointed as constable post and
call for training on the basis of final list.
