application to fill up their total 385 posts of
Arakshak (Policemen).Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and
age limit can undergo the Physical Test. Details of how to apply,

Founded in the year 1982, The Thane Municipal Corporation has successfully carried out numerous developmental projects and outlines from the time when it was started. Keeping in mind balanced development of Thane city, the corporation has undertaken many projects including the Integrated Road Development Project. Corporation has been rewarded with 'Clean City Award' by the Govt.of India in 2000 after taking into consideration the all-inclusive infrastructural development of Thane city.

Eligibility for the Thane Policemen Post
Educational eligibility-
The
candidate must be at least SSC pass. Preference will be given to
Military, Police Force Serviceman, Home guard or NCC Training Candidates
Physical Eligibility
Candidate should meet the following physical criteria to be eligible for the post.

| Weight | 50 kg |
| Chest (Normal - Expanded) | 81 cms |
| Chest (Expanded) | 86 cms |
Physical criteria is mandatory and only the candidates who meet the physical criteria will be considered.
Age Limit
The
age of the candidate has to be between 18 years to 33 years. Age
relaxation to the reserved category candidates is as per the Govt.
norms.
Selection Process
Interested
candidates are required to undergo a Physical / Ground Test. The Final
selection will be done after considering the score in the physical test
and marks obtained in SSC.
How to Apply
Candidates
who wish to apply for the said posts are required to be present at the
Ground / Physical Test on the dates specified in the schedule. Candidate
should bring with them completed application forms in prescribed format
together with relevant documents. Applications can be downloaded from
the official website. Selection will be done on the basis of the score
in physical test and SSC marks of the candidate.
