University was founded in 1987 was named as the state’s first
institution of higher education ever made. In spite of providing good
education it is also concerned with setting up goals for students and
help in achieving their life goals. At present,
Tripura University
provides post-graduate courses in sixteen subjects while the various
Departments, Directorates and Centers within it provide 38 degree
courses. All twenty four general and technical colleges, within the
state, are affiliated with Tripura University.
