The managing board (HPPSC – Himachal Pradesh Public service commission) today on 27/10/2013 conducted the SET exam in the state of HP at various exam centers across many districts. We received some prior information about the examination that it is very difficult this time, well students will tell the real truth after attempting the paper today.
Government of Himachal Pradesh conducts this exam every year to make candidates prepared for different lecturer posts in various colleges in the state. HP SET is always organized by HPPSC and announcement of result and answer key is always managed by same. If you ever wish to apply for such posts in HP, you need to have a passing certificate of HP SET in order to do so.
Paper Reviews :
Question paper was divided into three sections of Paper – 1,2,3. All these 3 papers constitutes of different pattern of questions.
As we all know, minimum percentage of marks needed to pass depends on candidates category. Each category (General, OBC, PWD/ST/SC) is assigned to different cut-off marks.
Paper 2 = 40%
Paper 3 = 50%
Paper 2 = 35%
Paper 3 = 45%
Paper 2 = 35%
Paper 3 = 40%

Answer key will contain all answers to all subjects and all three papers. The total number of subjects out of which the paper was set-up was 19.

- Paper 1 contained common G.K, reasonability, aptitude & question about general awareness.
- Paper 2 contained subject based questions selected by candidate. It is the compulsory part.
- Paper 3 contained 75 objective type questions made out from the main syllabus. It is compulsory too.
