Indian Navy Pilot and Observer Post 2013- Job Profile, Roles and Recruitment Details
Job Profile of Indian Navy Pilot Officer:
The
job profile of an Indian Navy Pilots includes various roles and a vast
KRA (Key Responsibility Areas)- As we all know from our childhood that a
Pilot means who fly planes or drive ships. A Navy Pilot KRA belongs to
the flying wing of Indian Navy in that he fly bone helicopters,
aircrafts and fighter planes too like Mig and Sea Harrier.
Job Profile of Indian Navy Observer Officer:
As
the Job title suggests an Observer is one who observe the whole sea, we
should call them the eyes of Indian Navy in the depth of Ocean- the
role of observer in Indian Navy is to operate various navigation devices
and tracking equipment like Sonars, Sonics, Radars etc.
Note
1: After completion of SSB interviews candidates will be taken onto a
Naval Orientation Program at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. After
completion of the initial induction training, Trainee candidates will be
taken on to another Air Force Academy/Naval flying training (Applicable
for Pilots only) whereas the Observer officers training will be held at
various Naval Training Units and Ships
Note 2: The candidate who clears the training successfully will be called Sub-Lieutenant.
Indian Navy Pilot and Observers- Details of Pay Scale/Salary:
The
candidate who clears the all phases of SSB Tests will be selected on
Sub Lieutenant officer level post in that the Pay-Scale is INR. 15600 to
INR. 39100 on Performance Bonus (PB)- 3 (GP- INR.5400). The total CTC
package is INR. 83,500/- Month that includes all the allowances,
perquisites with Basic Pay
Required Eligibility Standards for Pilot and Observers of Indian Navy Recruitment 2013:
Age Limit Criteria:
Minimum 19 to Maximum 24 years (See PDF for details)
Minimum Required Qualification:
Candidate
must possess and graduate degree with at least 60% marks and PSM
background in Class-XII during academics. Candidates awaiting for
results can not apply.
Gender Eligibility:
- Indian Navy Observers – Both Male and Females
- Indian Navy Pilots- Only male
Note: Your Marital Status should be unmarried
Physical Fitness Requirement for Pilot and Observer Posts of Indian Navy:
Other than the above eligibility candidate must possess the below given physical and fitness standards:
- Candidate should not have colour or night or other blindness
- Minimum Height and Weigh Details
- Height of Males- 162.5 CMS and for Females 152 CMS.
- Eye Sight Vision Calculation for distance- 6/6, 6/9 measurable to 6/6, 6/6
Indian navy Pilot and observer Posts Mode of Selection 2013:
Indian
navy will short list the application on the basis of above told
parameters, if your profile matches then the candidates will be called
for SSB Interviews at Bangalore wing in between Dec 2013 to June 2014.
SSB Will Judge Candidates on the basis of following Examinations and Test:
i)
For Indian Navy Pilot Posts – SSB PABT that stands for the Pilot
Aptitude Battery Tests that will be followed with Aviation Medical
examination.
(ii) For Observer Posts – Only Aviation Medical examination
