Many readers of our website are asking us about how much marks are required in IBPS clerk-III common interview to get allotment in banks or 'I have got this marks, is there any chance to get the job'. Well, after getting too much queries from the candidates regarding this, we have decided to provide here about the expected marks needed in IBPS clerk-III 2014 interview.

It is very difficult to predict the expected marks to be obtained in IBPS clerk-III interview or how much marks a candidate should have to get in interview to secure the job as the cutoff marks vary from state-to-state. So, we have considered an average marks.

1. Candidates who got the minimum/lowest marks in IBPS clerk-III exam:

In this situation, when a candidate secured the cutoff marks, he/she is required to obtain 80-85 marks in interview out of 100 marks.

2. Those who got 5 marks more than the cutoff marks  (cutoff + 5 marks):

In case when you got (cutoff marks + 5 marks), try to obtain 75-80 marks in interview.

3. Those who scored 10 marks more than the cutoff marks (cutoff + 10 marks):

The candidate have to obtain 70 to 75 marks in the interview.

4. Those who got 15 marks more than the cutoff marks (cutoff + 15 marks):

The candidates are required to score 65 to 70 marks in the IBPS clerk-III common interview.

5. Those who secured 20 marks more than the cutoff marks (cutoff + 20 marks):

In this case, the candidate needs to obtain minimum 55-60 marks in the interview.

6. Those who obtained 25 marks more than the cutoff marks (cutoff + 25 marks):

He/she should have to score 50-55 marks in the interview.

7. Candidates who got 30 marks more than the IBPS clerk-III cutoff marks (cutoff + 30 marks):

You have to secure minimum 45-50 marks in the interview.

8. Those who got 35-40 marks more than the cutoff marks (cutoff + 35 or above marks):

In this case, the candidates need to score the pass marks which is 40. No need to tell you that those who obtained 40 or above more than the cutoff marks, are also required to get the pass marks in interview.

How did we calculate the expected marks?

Well, we have predicted that the expected combined score of IBPS clerk-III exam should be around 60-61 (considering for General category). Check here to know how to calculated IBPS Clerk Combined Score. Now calculate. Suppose in a certain state the cutoff is 100 marks and a candidate scored 120 marks from that state. So, he has scored 20 marks more than the cutoff marks. That's why he needs to obtain 55-60 marks in interview i.e. 11-12 marks out of 20. Now 80 percentage weightage of his online test's score is (120*80/100*1/2)=48 marks. So his combined score = (40+12)= 60. Similarly calculate for SC/ST/OBC category.

Please Note: This is a prediction. The actual number may slightly vary from our predicted numbers. All depend on the vacancies of your state from where you have allied. Hope it will help you to get some idea about how much marks you need to obtain in the interview.
